It's been a while since I made a skin care post, and I felt the urge to share some more tips with you all!  (This one is aimed at the ladies)

So, how many of you have shaved your legs in the shower just to get out and feel stubble while drying off?  Personally, I despise leg hair and have done just about anything under the sun to get rid of it. 

In between my laser hair removal sessions, to get the "hairless feel" we all desire I have a four step routine that gets the job done.

Here are the steps:

1. Wash your legs

2. Shave

3. Exfoliate the legs

4. Shave again

To keep your legs soft and shiny, rub a sugar scrub all over before you get out of the shower.  (The moisturizing elements in the sugar scrub also kept my skin elastic while I was pregnant with my daughter and I did not get a single stretchmark!)

When you step out of the shower and dry off your skin will be smoother than a baby's bottom!

  There are three actions that I put above everything keep your skin beautiful:

  1. Stay hydrated/ Eat Well.  What you put in your body has a direct effect on your skin, being that it is the largest organ in our bodies.  Starting with the basics, drink water!  Staying hydrated prevents puffiness and wrinkles while aiding in maintaining the skin's elasticity (aka youthful essence!).  Eating leafy greens, spinach, and watermelon, to name a few, are made of mostly water which helps to bring your beauty from the inside out.  

  2. Always wear sunscreen.  By not wearing sunscreen you are putting your skin in the line of fire, so to speak.  You are opening up the door for melanoma and squamous- cell cancer, pigmented lesions, wrinkles and damaging sun burn.  Sunscreen containing zinc oxide are the best for providing broad protection from the sun and preventing skin cancer.

  3. Never go to sleep without washing your makeup off.  And last, but not least, washing your face.  Sleeping with your makeup on creates clogged pores and greasy skin. Just the thought of this brings me back to junior high!  The open pores absorb the dirt and nasty blackheads are then formed.
